Alabama Senate passes Child Protection Act
On Thursday, the Alabama Senate passed a significant bill aimed at combating AI-generated child pornography, making it illegal under state law. The Child Protection Act received unanimous support and is now headed to Governor Kay Ivey for approval.

Introduced by State Rep. Matt Woods and supported in the Senate by State Sen. April Weaver, HB168 seeks to equate AI-generated child pornography with traditional forms, emphasizing that the state will prosecute regardless of whether actual children are involved.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall commended the move, highlighting the dual nature of artificial intelligence as both a tool for innovation and a potential means for harm. He stressed that the new law positions Alabama as a leader in protecting children from the digital proliferation of child sex abuse materials.
The law addresses the increasing challenge posed by high-quality, realistic AI-generated content, which can complicate law enforcement efforts to distinguish between real and artificial depictions. This legislation ensures there are no loopholes for offenders to exploit, enhancing the state’s capability to safeguard children from exploitation.

“.CAM” Ranks Among the Top 3 TLDs for Live and Video
WILLEMSTAD, Curaçao — According to data from nTLDStats, with more than 150,000 registered domains, the “.CAM” extension ranks third among new TLDs associated with the adult industry, webcams, live content, and video. It notably ranks ahead of extensions such as .love, .chat, .video, .stream, and .webcam.

One of .cam’s key strengths lies in its simplicity and international appeal. Just three letters are enough to evoke cameras, webcams and, more broadly, the world of video. The term “cam” is widely recognized across many languages, allowing businesses, platforms, and creators to immediately connect their web address with their activity while benefiting from a short and memorable domain name.
Marco Forastieri, Marketing Director of .CAM, said: “.cam’s Top 3 position confirms the strong interest in this extension within the webcam, live, and video ecosystem. This level of adoption demonstrates the relevance of a short, international extension that is directly associated with the uses it represents.”
For Domain.cam, this momentum also highlights the potential of premium .cam domain names. These domains offer businesses, platforms, and creators the opportunity to build a strong, distinctive digital identity that is immediately recognizable on an international scale.
.cam is therefore establishing itself as one of the leading specialized TLDs in its ecosystem, driven by the growth of video, streaming, and live content.

Updated Community Guidelines: Clearer Guidance for Real Streaming Situations
We’ve updated the Community Guidelines to make them clearer, more transparent, and easier to use in everyday streaming situations.

We know it isn’t always easy to understand how a rule applies to a specific moment on camera. The updated Guidelines include clearer explanations and brand-new enforcement notes for relevant policy areas. These notes answer questions we hear most often.
Alongside these practical explanations, the update highlights a key principle behind moderation: context matters. We review the whole situation rather than isolated words, objects, or moments in a broadcast. A single unverified report does not trigger enforcement on its own.
Read the updated Community Guidelines to get a better sense of the platform’s boundaries and what to expect from moderation.
We’ve updated the Guidelines with your experience in mind. Tell us what you think in the community Discord and follow us on Telegram for quick platform news.
