What have been the highlights for you in 2022?
In a strange way, the year coming to a positive close is one of the biggest highlights of 2022 honestly – it’s been a tough year! So to end it with some positive things (like this interview among a few others, and getting a new car) is absolutely wonderful. I had a lot of great memories throughout the year as well, I just faced many difficulties this year in my career and in my personal life. But what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? So I’m stronger now than I ever was.
Other professional highlights for me include winning YNOT Trans Cam Star of the year and walking the red carpet in Hollywood with one of my best friends, Tina Hale. It was surreal to win such a big award, and I’m now nominated for two AVN Awards, which is absolutely wild to me. I am the only transmasc person in the Favorite Trans Cam Star category, so I’m doing my best to represent my transmasc & gender nonconforming peeps; it’s an enormous honor to be nominated and I can’t wait for the show. I am also nominated for AVN Favorite Camming Cosplayer – it is incredible to be in a category with so many of my esteemed peers. I love to cosplay and work very hard on my costumes, sets, props, and makeup to create fun, interesting, and unique shows.
On a personal note, this year has also been absolutely filled with love! I got married to my amazing wife Harley Harder in June, and celebrated with our family in Las Vegas. We are polyamorous, so several of our partners attended the wedding among our friends and family, which was a really magical experience. I have never felt so loved. Everything about it was beautiful, from my bride’s unrivaled flamingo themed gown and her glowing smile, to the LEGO flower bouquets she crafted for the guest tables. I am the luckiest groom, and cherish the memories and photos from our wedding week.
Any New Year’s resolutions?
Number One: Quit nicotine. I quit cigarettes a while back after smoking on and off for years, but now I have a nicotine vape that I can’t escape. I’m letting myself have it as a coping mechanism until I get home from AVN since life has been wild lately! But then I’m going to try my best to replace it with a healthier habit.
Number Two: Finish my Hospitality degree – I’m so close to the end! I still plan to go to school for another degree, but to complete my first one will be so satisfying. I’ve been putting myself through community college for eight years while working full time, it’s time to get that stupid but significant piece of paper.
Number Three: Make more queer porn, by queer people and for queer people. I really want to create as much art as I can, with porn and modeling as well as other mediums that I enjoy expressing myself through. I also have my fingers crossed that this is the year I get onto a magazine cover as a sex worker (I have been on magazine covers as an editorial model in the past), and that this is the year that I shoot a professional porn scene! We shall see what happens…
What would your elf name be?
Penelfope, naturally.
What is your holiday guilty pleasure?
Taking alone time at home during the holidays is my “guilty pleasure.” I always want to please everyone, it’s a struggle for me to make time for myself. I’m an extroverted introvert, so I’m good at talking to people but I desperately need alone time to recharge. I feel so bad though because I always have so many family members and friends who visit and want to socialize this time of year, so I do my best to keep up with everyone. But I cherish my alone time, when I can find it.
…Also, copious amounts of espresso drinks. I used to spend WAY too much money at Starbucks during this time of year, but now I invested in an espresso machine so I’m not purchasing an inordinate amount of pumpkin spice lattes, except when traveling.
Have you been naughty or nice this year?
Equal parts naughty & nice. Plus some sugar and spice.
What’s your funniest Christmas story?
One Christmas Eve when I was a young teen, my family had our usual fire in the backyard firepit of my grandparents’ house, and everything was jolly and bright; we decorated and sang carols, and had a lovely evening. To preface this, my grandfather is a very meticulous man… So Christmas morning arrives, and before anyone can even think about presents we get a call from my grandma in a panic, saying to come over right away (we lived very close to them at the time). The family piles into the car and arrives at my grandparents’ house to see three fire trucks out front, and we get out of the car to the smell of burning plastic. Grandpa had put the ashes from the firepit into the dumpster the night before, and some of the embers were still going enough to start a slow fire overnight. The plastic dumpster was completely melted and the fence on the side of the house had lit on fire, but fortunately a neighbor saw the smoke and called the fire department quickly, so the damage didn’t reach their house and they only had to replace the fence. My grandpa is such a thorough and thoughtful person and has never done anything like that, so of course the family lovingly teases him about it to this day around Christmas time. He’s going to both love and hate that I wrote about this incident in an interview – we all find it hilarious, now.
Meet Nika Legran — five years in, fearless and fully herself. Doxxing, judgment, and legal hassles didn’t stop her; therapy and growth erased on-cam stress and deepened a philosophical view of people and culture. She left her home country to protect her freedom and works alongside a supportive husband-producer. She rates BongaCams’ support 4/10 for slow replies but helpful outcomes and thanks fans, promising their secrets stay safe.
How do you face fears as a cam model? Deanon, legality, loved ones’ reactions, and the fear that nothing would work out were my main concerns. After 5 years, they’re gone. I got doxxed, judged, and had legal issues—but I love what I do, so no fear stopped me.
How do you deal with criticism in this line of work? I get tons of criticism, but don’t let it in. I’m building my life to shine in old age. People say things for their own reasons; I try to look deeper and accept different worldviews.
What has camming taught you about life? It taught me English, helped me know my body and aesthetics, learn about people from different countries, and hear thoughts they’d never share in real life. I take a philosophical approach.
How do you manage stress on and off cam? I don’t get stressed on camera anymore because I act like my real self. That came with experience, plus work with psychologists and personal development.
What’s the biggest risk you’ve taken in this career? I left my home country—family, belongings, everything—to stay in the industry and be free. I even risked staying where authorities could see everything.
How do you handle jealousy or camming in relationships? My husband isn’t jealous; he’s confident in me. He’s my producer, friend, and support—he knows he’s the most important person in my life.
What’s the best advice you’d give or have received? Run for your freedom—go to another country. Things are getting worse; investigators sit on websites and surveil, even if you’re not nude.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how good is the model support? BongaCams support: 4/10. Responses are slow, but when they reply, they’re helpful and polite; if you don’t wait, they’ll close the chat.
What would you like to say to your fans? I love you guys, you’re the best. Thank you for your support. I’ll take your secrets to my grave.
What personal challenges have you overcome through camming? A difficult family situation—camming helped me both morally and financially, and the people I met along the way shaped who I am.
Meet Rina Ellis, a creator who treats camming like game day—fueling clean, moving daily, and defending what sleep she can—because a balanced body powers a magnetic room. She’s candid about the grind: stigma still lingers, slow days test resolve, and the “easy money” myth doesn’t survive real work. What does? Grit, consistency, and respect for boundaries. Camming widened her view of audiences and models alike—a diverse, surprising mosaic—and taught her that curiosity beats judgment every time. Communication is her north star: switch it up, talk it out, and keep role play fun and safe so desire stays alive on screen and off. She won’t bend her craft to jealousy but meets feelings with clarity. Most of all, she’s proud of the community she’s built—genuine connections that feel like belonging. On Streamate, she leans into interactivity, using toys like Lush to turn feedback into chemistry and tips.
How do you manage stress on and off cam? I listen to my body—eat clean, move daily, and prioritize sleep (even if it’s tricky). In camming and in life, nourishing yourself and paying attention to your body’s signals matters. When you’re balanced, viewers feel it. Positive energy is contagious. You’re a fantasy and an escape from everyday stress, so people gravitate to someone rested and genuinely enjoying herself.
What’s the biggest challenge in this industry for you? The stigma. I don’t live by other people’s opinions, but constantly legitimizing the job can be exhausting. There are also slow periods—it’s the nature of the work—and they can feel discouraging if you’re not at your best. The key is to keep going, appreciate the busy days, and let them motivate you. It can be great money, but it isn’t “easy” money. It’s a job—work hard and it pays off.
What has camming taught you about life? That viewers come from every background—educational, cultural, and economic. People imagine it’s just one “type,” but it’s far more diverse than most think. Same with models; we’re all different and unique. It’s easy to judge what you don’t understand, but that doesn’t make assumptions true.
How do you keep the spark alive in relationships or online play? Switch things up and communicate—plus lots of role play. Camming helped me understand desires, online and in real life. You can go a long way by saying what you like and creating a safe space for that. Many men are too shy to voice their preferences, which is why they come to cam models. I’m grateful to be that safe space—and I love performing.
How do you handle jealousy and camming in relationships? Honestly, I wouldn’t be with someone who’s jealous of my work—it’s a big part of who I am. Still, I try to understand where feelings come from and communicate that this is my job. Not everyone will get it, and that’s okay, but for those who do—hold onto them.
What are you most proud of in your career? The connections and friendships. There’s a mutual understanding in this space that I don’t always find outside it. I’ve often felt like I didn’t fit in; here, I truly feel like I belong. That means a lot.
What do you like most about your favorite cam site? On Streamate, I love the interactivity—especially toys like Lush. They’re fun, encourage tipping, and, most importantly, feel good.
Meet Nivia Wolfe, a cam model who has carved out her place in the industry with authenticity, energy, and undeniable charisma. With over six nominations across major award shows, she proudly holds the title of MissXXXmas 2024 and is a 3-time AVN nominee in three different categories. Her journey is fueled by passion, confidence, and the genuine bond she shares with her fans. For Nivia, camming is more than just work, it’s a way to express herself freely, have fun, and stay true to who she is while building something lasting.
What would you like to say to your fans? “Thank you for believing in me and sharing this journey. Your support doesn’t just fuel my work, it fuels my dreams. Every tip, message, and moment of laughter reminds me why I love creating and connecting so much.”
Have you won any awards or been nominated so far? “Yes! I’ve been nominated 6+ times across major shows, including the Alt Awards, AVN, Cammy Awards, and XBIZ. I’m also a proud 3x AVN nominee in three different categories, and I won MissXXXmas 2024. These moments remind me how far my brand has grown and that it’s only the beginning.”
What instantly turns you on during a stream or in real life? “Confidence. Whether it’s in a glance, a bold message, or someone taking control in the right moment, confidence makes me melt. When a person knows what they want and isn’t afraid to show it, that energy turns me on instantly.”
What’s a trait your fans love most about you? “I think it’s my energy and how real I am with them. I’m bubbly and playful, but I also let people see the behind-the-scenes me. My fans tell me it’s refreshing to feel like they’re connecting with a genuine person, not just a performance.”
What are you most proud of in your career? “I’m proud that I’ve built a brand around authenticity. Every collaboration, live show, and video reflects my true personality. Creating a career that balances freedom, fun, and independence is my proudest accomplishment.”
