Cams.com offers a wealth of tips to its community on leveraging Twitter for promotional advantage. The platform suggests methods to heighten retweets, engagement, and viewer interaction.
Visuals Are Key:
Tweets with photos or videos garner the most attention. It’s beneficial for broadcasters to have a stock of engaging images and clips ready for tweets. Broadcasters can use the “X” button in their interface to post directly to Twitter. Although Cams.com provides a default message, it’s recommended to append an image or short clip. A real-time snapshot of a current stream is an ideal way to entice Twitter followers.
Tweet Composition Guidelines:
Broadcasters should tag @camsdotcom to make their posts visible to Cams.com. Sharing the unique link allows fans direct access to the room. For instance, if a broadcaster’s stream name is “PrettySexy123”, the link would be Cams.com/reg/PrettySexy123. Mentions of competing platforms are discouraged. Posts that refer to competitors will not be retweeted by Cams.com’s official channels. Using relevant hashtags can make a broadcaster’s tweet more discoverable. Exploring hashtags used by other models might offer inspiration.
Ensure Account Accessibility:
To maximize reach, a broadcaster’s Twitter profile should be public. To switch from “protected” to “public”: Navigate to “Settings and Privacy” through the profile icon. Opt for “Privacy and Safety” > “Audience and Tagging” and uncheck “Protect your Posts”. To align with Twitter’s guidelines, posts with adult content should be marked as “Sensitive” in the “Privacy and Safety” settings.
Strategize Your Posting:
It’s effective to tweet at the beginning, during, and after a broadcast. When not live, broadcasters can inform fans of the next streaming session or promote their fan club and recorded shows. For systematic posting, platforms like Hootsuite or TweetDeck can be helpful.
Increase Visibility via Cams.com’s Official Accounts:
The Cams.com social team is active between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm PST, Mon-Fri. Posts during these hours have a higher chance of being promoted by them.
For a post to be considered for retweeting by Cams.com, it should tag @Camsdotcom, remain non-nude, include the broadcaster’s streaming link, and have a photo or video. If broadcasters notice their posts aren’t getting attention, they can Direct Message @camsdotcom. For individualized promotions, DMing Cams.com with up to four non-nude photos and information on special broadcasting plans is encouraged.
For questions or guidance on promoting streams, Cams.com advises broadcasters to connect directly with @camsdotcom on Twitter.
Stripchat has introduced Custom Tags, giving broadcasters another way to describe an upcoming show’s theme, mood, or context.
Unlike preset categories, which focus on a show’s type and characteristics, Custom Tags let broadcasters describe a specific stream in their own words. Tags can be written in any language and are intended to help viewers find the type of experience they are seeking.
Custom Tags complement the platform’s existing categories rather than replace them. Existing category and activity names cannot be used as Custom Tags. If a planned tag matches a category or activity, the broadcaster must rephrase it with more specific wording.
Tag Limits and Examples
Broadcasters can add up to seven Custom Tags to a show. Each tag can contain no more than 25 characters.
The tags may describe what makes a particular broadcast different, including a special occasion or the broadcaster’s current mood. Stripchat listed “birthday” and “horny” as examples. Creative and varied tags may make a stream easier for interested viewers to notice.
Broadcasters may create their own tags or choose from existing suggestions. Tags can also be updated or removed before the broadcast begins.
How to Add Custom Tags
1. Prepare the stream and click “Start Show.”
2. In the pop-up window, find the dedicated Custom Tags field and enter the desired tags.
3. Create original tags or select tags from the suggestions shown by the platform.
4. Review the tags and click “Go Live” to begin the broadcast.
Broadcasters should use the field to add details that are not already covered by categories or activities. The feature is designed to provide more context for each stream and improve discovery without duplicating the platform’s existing classification system.
BongaCams Adds Halloween Gifts and Festive Profile Tag
Halloween Gifts
BongaCams has introduced a collection of 20 Halloween-themed gifts for models and studios. The limited collection will be available only until November 1.
When a member sends one of these gifts, its value is immediately credited to the recipient in Tokens. Although the collection is temporary, Halloween gifts received during the event will remain displayed on the model’s profile permanently.
Halloween Profile Tag
A new 🎃 Halloween tag is also available for models who create and maintain a themed setting. Models can add the tag through the “Tags” tab on the platform.
The tag is intended for profiles featuring a Halloween atmosphere or themed presentation, including an appropriate setting and look. Eligibility depends on the themed setting being maintained while the tag is in use.
BongaCams’ support team reserves the right to add the Halloween tag to a model’s profile or remove it. Models using the tag should therefore continue meeting the platform’s Halloween-setting condition.
Both additions are part of the platform’s seasonal Halloween event. The gift collection has a stated end date of November 1, while no separate end date was provided for the festive profile tag.
New Chat Settings Add Default Ban and Silence Durations
New moderation duration controls
Room operators now have more control over how long users remain banned or silenced. Updated chat settings allow separate default durations to be selected for bans and silences.
The available duration options are:
1 hour
6 hours
24 hours
1 week
1 month
Permanent
Once selected, the default duration applies whenever the room operator bans or silences a user. This removes the need to choose a length during a stream or adjust the action later.
Reporting and moderation in one step
The update also adds two options to the message reporting process: “Report and silence” and “Report and ban.” These buttons let a room operator report a message and take a moderation action in one step.
The ban or silence uses the default duration previously selected in chat settings. When a room operator clicks a username in chat, the ban option also displays the chosen default length.
How to change the defaults
To set the durations, open chat settings and scroll to “View/Edit Bans and Silences.” The default ban and silence length dropdown menus are located in that section.
A preferred duration can be selected separately for each action. Changes take effect immediately.
Reason for the update
The settings were changed in response to user feedback. In particular, users reported that a one-month ban was not appropriate in every situation and also shared suggestions about the reporting process.
The revised controls give room operators more flexibility to match bans and silences to their own moderation rules while reducing the number of steps required to report and restrict a user.
