< Previous30 @BCAMS 2021 BCAMS MAGAZINE How many working places do you have/ or how many locations? We got one big studio in Prague, which our models see as a second home. However, we also have remotely work- ing camgirls in what we call the virtual studio. This is especially dear to me as we can support a lot of webcam girls in Russian speaking countries to low- er the risk of getting targeted by the police. Though a real studio offers a familiar environment with additional advantages, we had to see in Russia just recently that studios became the victims of raids and faced prosecu- tion. Not every girl wants to leave their home and family but still enjoys the in- dependence they gain thanks to being a camgirl. In our virtual studio, we help them to fly under the radar of officials as best as possible. Many girls trusted us and joined our virtual studio. None of them was ever arrested. I am very happy about this. Are you relating the salary of your models to the average salary in the economy? Which is the model’s sal- ary growth expectation compared to the average salary in the economy? Our business is performance driven. Therefore, it is up to each model to decide how much she wants to work and earn. However, if we want to make a comparison then we need to look at the average salary in their home coun- tries, which is way below what an aver- age performer can earn. There is a very interesting aspect to it, which we tell to our models in the studio and our mod- els, who train with us. Consider how long you want to be working in this business and keep a clear target on your personal goals. Even though you can work as a cam model as long as you want. Ultimately, it will depend on the market and it changes. Financial management is the keyword here and also a dedicated lesson of our training programs. What helps your models confi- dence? Many girls say that they get inspired by me and my story. That is flattering, but I am only a part of it. A lot of this comes from themselves and starts with the decision to switch the cam- era on. In the studio, my team and I constantly work on creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We don’t only work together but also celebrate together like birthdays, holidays or just life as such. It is a bit tricky with the virtual team but as good camgirls, our camera is always on. On the more practical side of the matter, my team from Model´s Guide Online helps with training. And like I said before, it isn’t only about the right light setup and how to perform, but also about how to become a successful business woman. All this together helps our girls and cli- ents enormously and success simply boosts confidence. What advice would you give to a newcomer? First of all, make a conscious decision if this profession is really what you want. It will change your life and you need to be aware of it. Once you make the de- cision, the future is yours. However, the money you can earn doesn’t come easy even if first success might suggest it. By my personal experience and talking to so many models in the industry, it only turns into sustainable success once you are ready to work hard and keep improving. To help a newcomer with this, we have set up a special entry course called “Webcam from Zero”. It’s in Russian only at the moment. If you had 1 million dollars, what would you do for your studio? That´s a very interesting question. A million dollars sounds like a lot of mon- ey, but if you only use it for spendings, it is gone quickly. Supposingly, if I get this 1 million dollars with no strings attached, I would go for a retreat first in order to recharge my batteries. Set- ting up Model´s Guide Online next to the studio business during the last two years was exhausting and it is still ongoing. Hence, a break somewhere on a beautiful island is more than wel- come. However, I would also invite my management team to join me. They deserve it as much as I do. But later, we will work on all the improvement ideas we have for the studio already, realize more in order to become even better. This would also include more training and education. All together, I am sure that a big share of this 1 million dollars would remain, which is a great thought as you never know what life will throw on you. Or as we say during our train- ing at Model´s Guide Online, invest your savings diversely and create some good backup for the future. AWARDS BCAMS 2019 - CamStar Edition STUDIO Model´s Guide Studio MODEL AngelieSmile32 @BCAMS 2021 BCAMS MAGAZINE From Bucharest to Tenerife a new approach to the webcam industry Architecture not only houses bodies but also choreographs them, connects them, and conditions them. The body does not just inhabit architecture, but architecture inhabits the body. That being said, decorating cam studios is not very different from decorating in gen- eral. Interior design enables a space to serve a particular function, whether is camming or something else. It produces and increas- es the value of a space, as well as the cap- ital of its occupants, be it social or sexual. The usual studio setup takes on a domestic appearance, producing a sense of authen- ticity, by making it seem like the model is working from home. By disguising the pro- fessionalism of the studio and the technical aspects of camming, the interior decoration of these spaces gives the work on display visual legitimacy, while also contributing to the sexual capital of the worker within a field in which the domestic and the person- al are associated with the erotic. But what happens when you level up the architecture and interior design of the cam studio setup? For DivaMansion, moving their location to Tenerife was both a chal- lenge and a dream. Their motto ”Dare to dream” pathed their way to this beautiful Spanish hacienda with astonishing views, which lets them think outside the box and helps them build a new more com- plex and aspirational cam studio concept. Andrei, what determined you to open a studio in Tenerife? And why Tenerife? Now when I think about it, I think it was a mixture of feelings: the desire to go on a new adventure and a holiday I took in 2017, when I first visited this amazing island. Tenerife is undoubtedly a special place to be. The people here are very open minded 33 www.bcams.ro and you can enjoy the so called “endless spring” weather which gives you the possibility to be online outdoors even in winter times. The new studio setup attracts more members than the classic one? This type of studio together with our team of profession- als makes a great combo, which has brought us amazing results. The traffic arrives naturally and artificially using bought traffic from different platforms in the industry. With this new remarkable location are you trying to set a new aspirational standard in the industry? Did Ins- tagram influence your decision to move to this distin- guished location? Yes, I am trying to keep a high standard for DivaMansion, while offering a quality experience for our models. As well, I have a devoted team in place to make sure our models: earn well, live well, eat well. I would say it is a costly approach and it lowers for sure the studio profit margins, but we are thinking on long term. Instagram is one of the many so- cial media platforms we use to gather traffic and attention to our model branding. Of course living in a paradise is a plus and our content creating costs are very low and very accessible here. The new location facilitates in some way the recruit- ment process of the models? Actually it makes it harder for a few reasons. Firstly, here we do not have an infrastructure and awareness of the live cam jobs, as we are the first studio here we had to take ev- ery local model from 0 and train her. Secondly, minimum wages in the Canary Islands are 3.5x times higher than in Romania so the expectations from local people are higher in terms of income. And with the experienced models we are bringing from Romania is complicated as well, as we provide accomodation, plane tickets and legal assistance to get their residency permits, work permits and work- ing contracts. So either way, recruitment is harder than it would be in a well developed area in terms of cam studios. I am not saying we have an issue with either of the options we got, just that it is a bit more challenging. How much does the ambiance and setup of a studio re- ally matter? The fact that you have chosen to go out of the classic pattern, opting for a unique location, which offers you the possibility to film even outside the pool, with a dreamy background, does it offer an aura of au- thenticity that members are looking for? Thank you for this question! Of course it does! What we are doing is so uncommon and rare that it has had tremen- dous success regardless of the models that do outdoor pool shows. Together they are a guaranteed hit! We do not use only outdoor shows, I believe a mix of outdoor shows and indoor shows works the best for us. Every model will participate in such a show at least once a week. Our project tries to offer more to the models and members as well, and this is why we are always seeking for new technologies and new ways to connect better with the audience, while giv- ing the best support we can for our highly prized models. Thank you Andrei and DivaMansion for these awesome pics! Now we can all dream of the ”Island of Eternal Spring”! Interview with Romanian studio owners#VideoChatStories, an original BCAMS project. Interview series with the top Romanian Studios36 @BCAMS 2021 BCAMS MAGAZINE We were delighted that Lourdes, from LourdesStudio, accepted our invitation to be part of our #VideoChat- Stories project. Lourdes is a very well known model, who built success on two fronts: as a model she managed the performance of an income of 71529$ in one month, and as a studio owner she developed a business strate- gy that annually records over 50 thousand appearances in the top models video chat with the highest revenues on the international platform Jasmin. I would like to start by asking you: What does it mean to have a studio nowadays? It means a lot of involvement, hard work, and also dedi- cation. Both the models and us, the studio owners, have to be very dedicated. From the very beginning, when I started my own studio, I aimed for really good results, and was most interested in the quality of the model for Lourdes Studio. I have a very dedicated team of ex models from our stu- dio, and I find it very important to avoid hiring a ran- dom trainer who doesn’t have anything to do with this industry and this job. I don’t even really like to call it a job, because it’s something that we really enjoy doing, otherwise we couldn’t be models and we couldn’t ex- press what we usually do. So basically, our trainers are ex models of our studio who wanted to quit modeling or just have a break, and choose to become trainers in- stead. Probably that’s the reason we have these amaz- ing results: they know exactly what they are doing. I train them constantly so they can be good trainers, not just good models. Why did you decide to start your own studio? I was already a video chat model for years, I was living in Germany but I had lots of friends in Romania. It’s a long story... I’ve been living in Germany for about 25 years and a lot of my friends told me they wanted to do what I was STUDIO LourdesStudio OWNER Lourdes You can see the whole interview on our Youtube Channel #VideoChatStories and stay tuned for more interesting, unveiled stories!37 www.bcams.ro “I train models constantly so they can be good trainers, not just good models.” INTERVIEWS doing, because I was very open with my job. There was a problem though. In Romania there were only studios run by men and the girls would really wish to work for a woman or with a model who can really teach them what to do. So, at that point, I decided to leave my life in Germany behind and come to Romania. I was obviously missing home, but I came back also because I was in need of friends whom I could open myself towards, and tell them about the problems in the videochat in- dustry. We are indeed sometimes burdened with a lot of negative energy from everything that hap- pens, and we really need to get rid of all that. We can’t do it at home, so we are doing it with some- one that understands what’s happening. I really wanted to have friends that do the same thing that I do, to spend time, and have fun together, and at the same time to exchange experiences one with the other. How do you decide between a free or a premi- um cam site? It’s not me who`s choosing, the models are by what they express and desire. They don’t come especially for a freemium camsite, but along the way they realize they are good entertainers for example, and being on a premium cam site you can’t really express that because you don’t have enough time, they take you in private, and if you talk too much it’s not so well. I was never the own- er that imposed something, and I wouldn’t like it to be totally freemium either. I always tell mod- els if they are glamorous and if entertaining is in- volved, we can go on fermium. Otherwise I don’t want that typical freemium with undressing in free chat, and everyone seeing you like that. We keep nudity for the private zone at our studio, but, as I was saying, the model is the one to choose the best option for her. What is the biggest challenge for you? Model’s confidence in herself. They are usually very disappointed with other people in this industry, people that promise too many things that don’t happen afterwards, starting with the amount of money they can earn and don’t actually get to the model’s professional growth which doesn’t hap- pen as they promise. And then there are threats like “if you leave us it can happen and that...”. We don’t do stuff like that, our contract is very clear, if you want to leave tomorrow, you are to do so, no restrictions at all. It’s your decision, your life. Also, sometimes models don’t evolve, or they get stuck somewhere. At that moment, us, as owners, have to do something, we have to help models evolve, grow. Obviously with their help and implication, but we still have to do something about that. What plans do you have for the future? Some interesting one. We just opened the Lourdes Studio franchise. Why? Well, there are 2 reasons [...] 38 @BCAMS 2021 BCAMS MAGAZINE We were so happy to have Robert from Elitta Studio as part of our #VideoChatStories project. Robert has man- aged to build a strong, young team, in full development and with over 4 years of experience in the video chat industry. A team dedicated 100% to this field in order to offer the best conditions to their models. Here are some insights from our exclusive interview with Robert. From your own perspective Robert, what is it like to have a studio nowadays? It’s a real challenge. You need to be very ambitious. Having a videochat studio means to help people grow, help them to find their way in this industry. Why have you decided to open a studio? It was actually a friend`s suggestion. Meanwhile, we stopped collaborating, but we remained friends. He came with the idea to start a business like this. How do you decide between a free or a premium cam site? I’m not making the choice. We collaborate exclusively with a premium cam site. The models that work with us choose the cam site, or they come to us because we work with a certain cam site. We only collaborate with a certain cam site. To work on more sites at once, like others do, models need to have distributive attention. Then again, as a model, you end up earning the same amount of money no matter if you work on one single cam site or more. Cumulating the income, you will see you have the same results. Often a model that is working on a multisite scheme is actually choosing to work on a cam site that she actually likes, and the others will be left aside. STUDIO Elitta Studio OWNER Robert You can see the whole interview on our Youtube Channel #VideoChatStories and stay tuned for more interesting, unveiled stories!39 www.bcams.ro “I think videochat is the future , somehow everything is heading towards there.” What is the biggest challenge for you? We face challenges every day. There is some competition out there and you have to come with something new so you can maintain your business. You always have to come with some- thing new. Every studio offers certain advantages to their models and you have to keep up with all those. Hiring someone new is probably the greatest challenge, because you start working with people. How do you see this industry in the next few years? I think videochat is the future, some- how everything is heading towards there. The technology has evolved so much, everybody is using Face- book, Instagram, all the social net- works. Platforms evolved with the internet, and everything is so acces- sible nowadays. You can go online even from your phone, you can be in touch with your members from anywhere. And I think that is the future of the online environment. Tell is a short funny story from your own studio. The funniest story I think was when my colleagues went to some filming in Lepsa, and when they left, they ac- tually forgot one of the models there. They stopped on the way to buy some water or something like that, and only after 60km they realised that they left without the model, and they had to go back for her. Do you think Romanian models are rated as they should be by the cam sites? I think all the models are treated the same. Romania is probably one of the biggest models markets in the world, therefore it is possible to have some advantages [...] INTERVIEWSNext >
