Contest format

Streamate will hold its Best Face Forward contest from Oct. 11 through Oct. 17 (GMT). All performers can participate by streaming during the event.

Final rankings will be based on each performer's eligible earnings from their best three days during the seven-day contest. Earnings from the other four days will not count toward the ranking. Performers may stream on more than three days, giving them additional chances to improve their three-day total.

The contest leaderboard will display a countdown to the event start. The top 500 performers will receive rewards.

Prize list

First place will receive $5,000. Second place will receive $4,000, and third place will receive $3,000.

Additional prizes are:

• Fourth place: $2,500
• Fifth place: $2,000
• Sixth place: $1,750
• Seventh place: $1,500
• Eighth place: $1,350
• Ninth place: $1,200
• 401st through 500th place: $100 each

Bonus gift requirements

Performers can also qualify for one bonus gift by streaming at least 25 hours during the event.

A performer who streams 25 hours and earns at least $250 will receive a $25 bonus. Reaching at least $500 with 25 hours of streaming earns a $50 bonus. Reaching at least $1,000 with 25 streaming hours earns a $100 bonus.

All performers are eligible for these bonuses, including those who finish in the top 500.

Eligible earnings and verification

Rankings are determined by the amount members spend on a performer during the contest. Media sales, subscription charges, and Cammodel earnings are excluded and do not count toward ranking totals.

Streamate will verify rankings after the event. Performers with fraudulent earnings will be disqualified and may have their accounts suspended or closed.

Rewards will be added to performer earnings within one week after the contest ends. They will then be paid according to each performer’s regular payment schedule. Additional rules are available in Streamate’s Contest and Bonus Events and Contest Leaderboard help pages.

Mobile streaming event reminder

A separate mobile streaming event covers earnings from Oct. 4 through Oct. 10 GMT. Streaming from a phone and sharing feedback during that event will unlock a 25% bonus on earnings from that period.

Expanded moderation limit

Stripchat has increased the maximum number of entries allowed in its Blocked Words & Phrases setting. Users can now add up to 300 words or phrases, compared with the previous limit of 30.

Messages containing any listed word or phrase are hidden from chat participants. The expanded limit gives users more room to filter unwanted content and manage what appears during a stream.

How to add blocked words and phrases

To add an entry, follow these steps:

• 1. Open Settings and select Privacy.
• 2. Scroll to Blocked Words & Phrases.
• 3. Enter a word or phrase in the dedicated field, then press Enter.
• 4. Click Save to apply the updated list.

Support for multiple languages

The feature accepts words and phrases in any language. This allows users with international audiences to create a list that covers content in several languages.

Users can add entries until they reach the 300-item limit. They can also adjust the list over time as their chat moderation needs change. The update does not change how matching messages are handled; messages containing a listed entry remain hidden from chat participants.

Chaturbate is combining Private Messages (PMs) and Direct Messages (DMs) into a single inbox called Messages. The change is designed to keep conversations together, regardless of where they began.

The platform previously tested earlier versions of Messages and says user feedback led to improvements.

One Inbox

All PMs and DMs now appear under the Messages tab. Users can also open the inbox through a floating icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.

The floating icon can be hidden by opening the menu in any message window and selecting display preferences.

Livestream Conversations

When a broadcaster is live, Messages opens to an In Session tab. This section works like the previous PM tab and shows people who sent messages from the broadcaster’s room during that livestream.

If a viewer leaves the room, the conversation remains under In Session until the stream ends. An In Room indicator identifies messages from viewers who are still in the room.

Messages from people outside the room appear under All. They will not pop up while the broadcaster is streaming.

Private shows and away mode are treated as part of the same streaming session. When the stream ends, the In Session tab clears. A new In Session list begins with the next stream, while all previous conversations remain available under All.

Inbox Filters

The unified inbox includes filters for All, Unread, Tipped, Following, and Followers. These options allow users to sort conversations based on message status or their relationship with the sender.

Spam and Poaching Protection

ChaturSafe also works inside Messages. The system filters spam and is intended to help prevent poachers from contacting a broadcaster’s fans.

Message History and Unread Counts

DMs from the past year will appear in Messages. PMs sent before the systems were merged will not transfer, so PM history in the new inbox starts fresh.

Some users may see their unread message count rise as unread conversations from both systems are brought into one place. If an account has more than 100 unread DMs, its unread message count will reset.

Messaging Permissions

The update does not change existing messaging settings. Anyone who was previously allowed to send a message can continue doing so, based on the broadcaster’s room settings and permissions.

Future Features

Chaturbate says paid messaging and new options for selling offline content will be added directly to Messages in a future update. No launch date or further details were provided.
